Log entry for the 7th of December 2014.
Monday finds me back in one of my favourite places, Ancient Greece. I’m running around in somewhat revealing armour trying my luck with various Cyclops, the main reason for me being here is to make some progress with the Steropes Cyclops 333 mission, For this I use my Archon’s Sword but this is no easy task and when solo several resurrections are normally required for me to finish just one of these although I did manage to kill one with just one resurrection.
I lent my Philosopher’s Sword to Wolta, her skill is not quite good enough to be in the learning period. I tried putting some skill enhancers into its only open slot but this did not resolve the issue. Wolta and I went and killed some Arges Cyclops by way of a hunt that we could both do.
Tuesday, two or three more Steropes, it is quite frustrating to do too many of these solo, the number of resurrections required combined with how difficult it can be to get to one of the weaker ones with several others nearby or in the way makes for very slow going. As each session progresses it becomes more difficult as at the beginning their maybe 2 or 3 weaker Steropes near to to TP but after these are killed it becomes necessary for me to work my way through some of the tougher ones to find one I can kill and I need to do this several times to achieve a single kill.
Thursday, just 2 Steropes today.
Friday, continued from yesterday and in a second session Nocturaline healed which made a big difference, I even managed a small global when I killed my 20th.
Saturday, a continuation of yesterday with both Wolta and Nocturaline healing, Nocturaline and I swapping roles after each kill. Clearly this is the way forward for me, most of the time I can survive against the lower levels with 2 Herb Box healers (Incidentally, it seems the Herb Box is no longer available from the Trade Terminal in Ancient Greece, this will make it very difficult for any Ancient Greece virgins)
Later it was Space Skilling Saturday which had it’s own difficulties, at least for me and was the parting shot as I left Next Island behind. I intend to return again soon.
Sunday, I awoke in Rocktropian Space and after sorting through last night’s lack of loot I headed to the surface in my quad. Once there I tried the Motorhead Royalty, I really should have learnt my lesson by now, the loot was dreadful, I also tried a couple of preliminary waves (8&9 I think) for a Zombie Kong but with only one other person there it seemed pointless, I know I can’t take Kong solo, I would need a lot more than 2 Herb Box healers to do that. The EMT kit EK-2900 reached tier 4.9 so it is ready to be upgraded once I can gather all the required components. I missed a Kong ATH by about 2 or 3 hours, it occurred sometime after I logged.
