Marvellously Merry Mayhem mostly, mmmm

Monday, I realise I’ll not be able to spend enough hours in Merry Mayhem to qualify for the competition but I do want to reach the 2k total points so as to get back 200 PED of Universal Ammo, thinking back this was probably a false economy. I also decided to use my last 5 hour 100% skill pill from the Gold Rush event on Arkadia, yes I had reached my goal of level 60 Laser Pistoleer (hit) and in the process become Marvellous but what’s the point of carrying the pill around and risking losing it to a pirate between planets. Once I have gained the skill it cannot be taken from me, at least not yet. I popped the pill and had a couple of one hour sessions in the instance, the first hour was against Araneatrox the second against Kerberos. The result was a loss of nearly 150 PED (already spent 3/4 of the 200 PED reward right there) but there were three small globals, my points reached 1585, cumulative hours reached 12 and I got to 10% of the way to level 61, “marvellous” as Mr. Brittas used to say!

Tuesday, I spend another full hour with the Kerberos in Merry Mayhem Solo 3 which gives me a couple of globals and an 8 PED profit. Later I return for another hour (the first of a 2 part hunt) it gives just one small global.

Wednesday, part 2 of the hunt from last night, no globals, Laser Pistoleer (hit) reaches 18% to the next level and my MM points total increases to 1750, the combined loss for the two hunts is 224 PED, oops there goes the 2k point bonus. I now have 15 cumulative hours and a very sore right hand, I will have to rest tomorrow.

Friday, it’s 2016 so I wish a very happy new year to anyone who reads this and make a blogging resolution but see the end for that, don’t be filled with anticipation over it though it really isn’t that exciting.
I auction for a buy out price quite a lot of Animal eye oil, funds are low and I need Ammo, Christmas is always an expensive time of year and while I could afford it I decide I do not want to deposit until it is necessary.
Hour 16 against the Kerberos solo 3 results in one small global, a loss of 69 PED and a distinct lack of notes, there is a chance that I was hungover!

Saturday, hour 17 and a 32 PEC profit! I’m quite excited and start to work out what I could spend it on. There are a couple of globals, MM points reach 1828 and Laser Pistoleer (hit) climbs to 21% of a level.
Later there is Space Skilling Saturday which includes a run in with that nice fellow micjack.

Sunday, hours 18 and 19 in Merry Mayhem solo 3, both are against the Kerberos. The first hour is quite poor with one small global and a loss of 160 PED. During the second hour I reach the 2k MM points but continue to the end, I also get a decent global, Laser Pistoleer (hit) approaches 25% of the level and I get my 200 PED of Universal Ammo, unfortunately I use some of it instead of my purchased Ammo. I made a profit of 229 PED (including the 200 in Universal Ammo), am 89 points over the 2k and with only 19 hours am tempted to do one more to get it to 20, which is half of the requirement for entry to the competition.

The return this week was 91% which resulted in a loss of 321 PED, not bad really.

New year’s blogging resolution is to include more background information such as who I have been chatting with although about what may not be disclosed depending upon the content. I have noticed the blog has become very results focused and while I wish to include results I do not want them to be the total content.

For Merry bloody Mayhem I get Level 60 Laser Pistoleer (Hit)

It’s been Merry Mayhem almost all week, I was using a 5 hour 100% skill pill which expired on Tuesday at which point my Laser Pistoleer (Hit) was at 59.9719. I have been concentrating on the solo level 3 Kerberos with the occasional excursion to the Araneatrox of the same level. I took Wednesday off then on Thursday and Friday (Mayhem day) I continued hunting Kerberos without the benefit of a skill pill and on the Friday got to Level 60.0126 at some point during the evening. After which I placed a few items on Auction and cleared out some storage by feeding crap to the TT.

A couple more excursions occurred on Saturday both without a skill pill and later there was Space Skilling Saturday.

On Sunday the week was finished off when Wolta and myself tried the Araneatrox in Merry Mayhem Free For All 2, we did not do well. Wolta kindly donated a Generic Fuse she had looted which will be kept and used to make a future warp drive.

Several globals were achieved during the week as well as a few level gains. I managed to lose 446 PED which was a return of almost 90%

I do nothing during the week but Pamela manages to sell 3 items, no surprise really she looks much better than me.

Saturday, I purchase a “Default Athenic Ring” from Nocturaline and test it in Fight Club. I survive but do quite badly, the ring however makes a difference during wave 4 when I am struggling to target just one Shinkiba due to them being so tightly packed around me. I restock Pamela and later run Space Skilling Saturday which went surprisingly well (I probably have Pamela to thank for that).

Sunday, I purchase a Dominax Original Boiga (L) and a BP to make Dominax Original Mamushi (L). It takes me a few attempts before I manage to make a Mamushi, it would have been cheaper to purchase one. I also take a 5 hour 100% Skill Pill and spend 1 hour in Merry Mayhem, there are no globals but I do get some good loots, I do however have enough ammo for a 2nd hour on my person and intend to continue with this tomorrow night by completing the second hour. Needless to say hours 3 to 5 will follow to burn the Loot Pill, I am optimistic of making lvl 60 in Laser Pistoleer (Hit) before the new year. Clearly I am not taking my own advice of last week.

Results for the week (not including 1 hour in Merry Mayhem)  +60 PED, which was a return of 119%, not bad but I still think Pamela did better.

Log entry for the 13th of December 2015

Monday, Still on Arkadia and once again I visit the Teladon for about an hour, I manage 2 small globals and gain level 36 average combat, these average levels are slow to gain so it’s a nice achievement.

Tuesday, another hour with the Teladon, this time with significantly less luck.

Wednesday, I finish off the last 50 minutes of the skill pill by again hunting Teladon, I manage one small global and don’t lose too much. Laser Pistoleer (hit)  reaches 84.41% of the level and I get to 989/1000 Teladon. Still a away to go for both goals.

Friday, a short Teladon hunt to trial a touch pad, I spend way too much time using computers and have some quite bad pains in my hand and forearm, the touch pad seems OK but I basically need to rest.

Saturday, all I do is Space Skilling Saturday 100. After which we go to Calypso.

I finish the week down 516 PED, a return of 76%. I know I have to rest, I may fail to reach my target for the year.
