A quiet week

Log Entry for July 1st 2013

It has been a quiet week, at least for me. I have spent some time in Cyclops Depths (I think that’s what the new instance is called) I question it because as yet I have not seen a single Cyclops, maybe I have not gone far enough? Maybe it will link up with Ancient Greece?

I had a go at Atrox hunting with the usual poor results, I figured it was worth a try due to the current BIG industries competition, I suspect I will revisit these from time to time on the off chance that I get lucky.

The Armour continues to diminish, it now comprises mostly ghost parts, I think I still have Jaguar gloves and thighs and the harness is Ursa.

I received disciple applications from 2 new players at the same time and spent a couple of hours chatting with them both, I have not seen either of them on-line since then, they are in a different time zone so it may just be poor timing.

PBG bought herself an apartment (at Omegaton West Habitat, I think!) and has set about furnishing it, I did visit with a small house warming gift, it is a nice big space.

I reached the 7k mark in the Rextelum 30k challenge, still a long way to go but I’m not bored with it yet.

There was also some space adventuring :).

Something stupid progress report 1

Log Entry for June 3rd 2013

It has not been as bad as I expected, costs do seem to have increased but not considerably, loot has decreased, I have had several very poor returns as have many people I have talked with. The Karma Killer tiers rapidly so far by 0.1 for about each 150 pedal of ammo. The armour is being swapped out and at this time I am using Ghost face and feet, Ursa shins and the rest is Jaguar. I am using accuracy enhancers on the Karma Killer and have started to swap my FAP enhancers from economy to heal, I intend to replace my Ghost’s durability enhancers for defence but that will take time.

I made me a new friend this week (something I seem to be getting better at), Nocturaline was at Chug’s in the pit and I offered some assistance once round 4 kicked off, this enabled her to get the “Lord of the Ring” achievement. After which we spent some time discussing the pirate issue.

I have had 3 team hunts this week, the first was on Crystal Palace with Tiger, we took on the Kreltin , I think the Kreltin won but we did manage a good couple of globals. The 2nd was with both Tiger and Cee against the Proteron, they definitely won that round but we’ll be back. The 3rd was with Cee against the Argonauts near Twin, again there were 2 globals but this time we beat them.

The Proteron hunt followed me being invited to “Drop Zone’s” Soc. Proteron sweating event by Nocturaline, this was a lot of fun and I hope to go back and maybe be on the kill squad. I died several times while sweating and did not get a lot of sweat but that was not why I went. Fortunately the poor Proteron we were torturing was near to the TP.

June has started so the soc. is gearing up for the challenge in the pit to determine rank. I hope we will get some pit action next weekend.

Trying something stupid

Something stupid, well I’m not the smartest cookie up the flagpole in the first place so this should be fairly daft.

I decided to try the old way, the unlimited way, the non SIB way! I went and bought myself a Karma Killer. I’m planning on sticking with the unlimited Ghost and will use up the relics of my Jaguar and first Ursa set, disposing of parts as they expire. My second Ursa set will remain in storage for a while, while I tread the path of the ancient.

Last night I tried my new/old approach against the rextellum, I found the weapon to have a significant increase in fire rate, I seemed to be killing them in slightly fewer shots, I did notice an increase in misses and in skills and at the end the size of loss was not unusually high. Look out for me in my Christmas tree armour, I wonder if I could put a star on the top!
