Igni (Ronda, tentatively) Vs Kreltin

Log entry for the 6th of December 2015

Monday, still on Arkadia and feeling unusually optimistic I visit the Gold Rush instances in the hope that they may still be open just for hunting but I am disappointed. Instead I provide a transport for my core crew.

Tuesday and Wednesday, I make a round trip to Arkadia.

Saturday, I’m on Crystal Palace so it has to be Kreltin, I have been eager to try the Igni against them. For a change they were pleased to see me. At one point I have to log and when I log back in sometime later I find myself in one of the trees and quite high up. I work my way down, eventually having to fall to the ground, fortunately the gravity is low. I kill 2 Kreltin in a row and both global, well that’s just good manners really. Later in the hunt I manage a 3rd global and I end in the black. I teleport to the surface of Calypso taking many PEDs worth of stackables and items with me. After storing the load I find and purchase the necessary and tier the Igni (Ronda, tentatively) to 3.0. I place items and stacks on auction and visit Pamela to update stock there before I try Fight Club, this also gives a positive result and a small global, it is becoming quite easy, it will not be long before I try it in less able armour. Space Skilling Saturday was a busy one, the loot was poor but I do gain a level in Captain.

Sunday, back on Arkadia I drop a 5 hour, 100% skill pill and have a crack at the Teladon. After 2 hours I’m down quite a lot, this in spite of 2 globals, one of which was decent, I manage to gain levels in Gunner and Grenadier. I end the week with about 2 hours and 50 minutes of skill pill still to use, down just 250 PED and with a return of 87%. Not bad.

Skillfest and losing small

Log entry for the 29th of November 2015

Monday, it has to be Magurg Breeder 2s again, I still have about 3 hours left of the 5 hour, 100% gain Skill Pill I consumed yesterday and need to make the most of it, which I did with what passes nowadays as a very successful hunt. I walked, well, ran slowly, away with a 177 PED profit and a return of 121%. A very good start to the week.

Tuesday, coming out of my semi-retirement, lured by dreams of skill I spend a little over an hour on Gold Rush Island, this time I lost but the skill gains were good and I polish off the Skill Pill at level 59.4663 Laser Pistoleer (hit), pleased with the result I am determined to fit another 5 hours in this week as I have more Pills.

Thursday, I take another 5 hour, 100% skill gain pill and spend approximately 2 hours on Gold Rush Island, another positive return and 3 globals to go with it. After a break I return for a further hour, get another 3 globals, one of which was of the higher kind and manage another large PED gain.

Friday, I need to finish off this Skill Pill before Space Skilling Saturday so as not to waste it and I know I will not get time tomorrow so another 2 hour Magurg hunt ensues, another loss but with the pill gone I’m at 59.5730 Laser Pistoleer (hit), I’m hoping to reach 60 before the new year and it is looking possible now. Also during this hunt the Igni reaches tier 2.9 so I will soon need to look for the materials required to upgrade it to tier 3. I still need a name for the Igni, I had been thinking “Ronda” but she took a pounding recently.

Saturday, all I do is Space Skilling Saturday.

Sunday, I know the Gold Rush Island instances will close at mid-day tomorrow and after some consideration decide I can find 5 hours out of this day to use another skill pill. I do this in 3 sessions, losing big on the first one and small on the second two (not sure about the implied phrase “losing small” but I like it). I manage to gain levels in 4 different combat skills including 56 for Ranged Laser (dmg), Laser Pistoleer (hit) climbs to 59.6936 and I gain my 180th Hit Point so I am more than pleased with my days work. This session was quite painful, the real world work I had done yesterday had left my hands and arms quite sore and using the trackball was distinctly uncomfortable but I carried on regardless. I resupply Weapon Accuracy Enhancers I & II but they are from Calypso auction and are now located in Calypso storage so a visit is required.

A very busy week for me by comparison with recent and surprisingly I did quite well losing just 289 PED which was a return of 95.5%. Losing small, that’s what I like.

Trading and manufacturing

Log entry for the 18th of October 2015

Monday, I’m on Arkadia and foolishly decide to try my luck, I seem to be particularly unfortunate on Arkadia and today’s Huon hunt was no exception as it gave a return marginally over 50%, with a loss of 235 PED, not good at all. I was planning to leave Arkadia temporarily anyway but due to this loss I was able to do so in disgust. I travelled to Crystal Palace and there amalgamated my loot before Teleporting to Chug’s Hideout on the surface. Here I purchased Lysterium and Piles of Garnets in order to complete the list of components required to tier the Igni up to 1. The upgrade process was painless.

Tuesday, I purchased Root Acid and Gazurdite ingots and proceeded to manufacture some RK-20s, quite a bad run, it produced only 8 units from 43 attempts. I also manufactured 76 PED of Welding Wire.

Thursday, I have decided to use the Dehera Immolation Sword and to this end repaired it. I then purchased an RK-5 BP and went to hunt the Rextelum, go figure! I did quite well with a loss of just 8 PED and reached 16650/30000 for The Supreme Rextelum Slayer mission. I purchased some Sweat and made more Welding Wire until I ran out of Alternative Ingots at which point I made 19 RK-5s from 56 attempts. I began placing my loots on Auction, such a ball ache.

Friday, I purchase extra Alternative and Ospra ingots and made a shed load more Welding Wire. Put more stuff on auction, some was bought.

Saturday, with the Igni upgraded to tier 1 I decided to make use of the slot and purchased a couple of weapon economy enhancers before trying my luck with the Rextelum. I used over 400 PED of ammo and both the newly purchased enhancers in order to discover that my luck was poor, in this instance economy enhancers were very not economic. I purchased the components necessary to upgrade my viceroy shin guards to tier 3.2 (clearly they were ready sometime ago). Later it was Space Skilling Saturday, after which Nocturaline and Myself descend to the surface of Arkadia where I purchase and repair a key 10 with the hope of the Sleepyheads doing this Sunday. That did not work out and we had to postpone until Monday.

This week I managed to lose about 550 PED and experienced a return of 66%.
