Skillfest and losing small

Log entry for the 29th of November 2015

Monday, it has to be Magurg Breeder 2s again, I still have about 3 hours left of the 5 hour, 100% gain Skill Pill I consumed yesterday and need to make the most of it, which I did with what passes nowadays as a very successful hunt. I walked, well, ran slowly, away with a 177 PED profit and a return of 121%. A very good start to the week.

Tuesday, coming out of my semi-retirement, lured by dreams of skill I spend a little over an hour on Gold Rush Island, this time I lost but the skill gains were good and I polish off the Skill Pill at level 59.4663 Laser Pistoleer (hit), pleased with the result I am determined to fit another 5 hours in this week as I have more Pills.

Thursday, I take another 5 hour, 100% skill gain pill and spend approximately 2 hours on Gold Rush Island, another positive return and 3 globals to go with it. After a break I return for a further hour, get another 3 globals, one of which was of the higher kind and manage another large PED gain.

Friday, I need to finish off this Skill Pill before Space Skilling Saturday so as not to waste it and I know I will not get time tomorrow so another 2 hour Magurg hunt ensues, another loss but with the pill gone I’m at 59.5730 Laser Pistoleer (hit), I’m hoping to reach 60 before the new year and it is looking possible now. Also during this hunt the Igni reaches tier 2.9 so I will soon need to look for the materials required to upgrade it to tier 3. I still need a name for the Igni, I had been thinking “Ronda” but she took a pounding recently.

Saturday, all I do is Space Skilling Saturday.

Sunday, I know the Gold Rush Island instances will close at mid-day tomorrow and after some consideration decide I can find 5 hours out of this day to use another skill pill. I do this in 3 sessions, losing big on the first one and small on the second two (not sure about the implied phrase “losing small” but I like it). I manage to gain levels in 4 different combat skills including 56 for Ranged Laser (dmg), Laser Pistoleer (hit) climbs to 59.6936 and I gain my 180th Hit Point so I am more than pleased with my days work. This session was quite painful, the real world work I had done yesterday had left my hands and arms quite sore and using the trackball was distinctly uncomfortable but I carried on regardless. I resupply Weapon Accuracy Enhancers I & II but they are from Calypso auction and are now located in Calypso storage so a visit is required.

A very busy week for me by comparison with recent and surprisingly I did quite well losing just 289 PED which was a return of 95.5%. Losing small, that’s what I like.

Omegaton Igni L1100E

Log entry for the 11th of October 2015

Tuesday, My week begins in Ancient Greece, I still really like it there even though it’s been spoilt by all the tourists bringing in new technologies and destroying the native creatures. Talking of destroying the native creatures I embarked upon a pointless slaughter of some Steropes using all the technology at my disposal. The return was very poor at less than 50%, you may think the Steropes had the last laugh but there dead an I’m not so na na n’na na. I emptied my Ancient Greece storage of stackables and moved them to Next Island.

At this point my records seem to have a gap in them, I am not sure when but I know I took most saleable stackables and items from Next Island storage and headed back to Pathfinder XXXI at which point I logged and waited. Lizzy came on-line at some point and moved the ship to Crystal Palace and at some point after that I disembarked and put all the Next Island stuff into storage there. After that not sure how long after but I think it was Thursday, I headed to Zeus Space Station in the Pathfinder, overshot and whilst in Gordon’s Belt did a little skilling until the ship blew and both the ship and Myself were returned to Zeus Space Station where we docked overnight.

Saturday, I continued on to Arkadia, why this is not in the ships log I have no idea, some kind of brain fever perhaps, certainly I have days missing, possibly there is a hole I’m my mind. I remember going into the Arkadia training grounds and the ship blowing a second time, I have a vague recollection of repairing at Arkadia Space Station. It is at this point my records begin again with the entry “Arkadia entry tax 2pd” so I must have descended to the surface. I knew why I was there and wandered the streets looking for Nocturaline’s shop, eventually finding it I sought what I had come for and on doing so transferred all earnings from my Arkadia Underground Deeds and my Calypso Land Deeds into my PED card before purchasing the Omegaton Igni L1100E for +10k. Slightly overpriced I think but better to buy from a friend. I repaired the pistol before logging.
Later on re-logging Nocturaline supplies an Arkadian Key 7 and Wolta and Myself join her in this. I got to try out the Igni and was quite impressed, in just 45 minutes it got to tier 0.6, I did a good amount of damage without the need for amps and did not use too much ammo, I shall be watching the figures over the next few weeks. The key as always was fun, with multiple globals, I even completed a mission but I forget which one.
Later still it was Space Skilling Saturday which went quite well.

Sunday, Wolta supplies an Arkadia key 9 and Nocturaline and Myself join her, more fun was had, another mission completed (again I forget which), the Igni got to tier 0.8, there were multi globals and a rare item HoF (Arkadian golden key outer ring x2) plus my max health went up one more notch to 179, the loot was not too good though, unless the rare item sells on auction.

The weeks results were – 453 PED, 65.4%.

I like this gun and am considering giving it a name, more to ponder on.

Don Crazyshadow Hunterz, outstanding behaviour

Log entry for 26th of July 2015

Monday, the week begins on Rocktropia and I’m serving the nation, the werewolves give me a slight positive as I reach 1215/10000, still got a way to go. Later I’m in the group who take down a Zombie Kong and a couple of King Kongs, the loot was dire and there was some discussion as to its distribution. On the last King Kong most of us got next to nothing but one Don Crazyshadow Hunterz managed to get a rather large ESI. He also thought the distribution off and gave 100 PED to each person in the group by way of correcting this error. Outstanding behaviour, I’m not sure there are many here who would do that.

I’ve noticed the SkullCandy gloves are ready to tier.

I did a little travelling and alighted on Next Island before heading to Ancient Greece to take on the Steropes Cyclops. I managed to kill a few by way of a test before logging.

Tuesday, I hit the Steropes in 3 separate hunts throughout the day, with each I improve as my methods are refined, I’m wearing the SkullCandy armour with 5B plates, this provides very little protection against one of their attack types so the improvements have noticeable effect. All 3 hunts gave percentage returns in the high 70s and low 80s.

Wednesday, More warping followed by more Steropes. 3 Steropes hunts the second of which provides a 564 PED Global and a smaller one, I also manage a small global during the 3rd. I finish the day at 284/333 Steropes Cyclops and calculate that 2 more hunts will see me completing the challenge.

Thursday, I was wrong, I completed the challenge + 1 more before the pills ran out (I should probably have mentioned I was using some pills to enhance my speed, heal and hit points). I changed into my chiton before visiting Penthesilea to claim the reward for completing the Bronze Age Challenge, I chose Athletics and Stamina which gave me a max health increase to 177 a stamina increase to 12 plus a couple of skill gains. After I noticed some red dots at the edge of the scope and on investigation took on and defeated the Avatar of Pan. In the other direction there was some Cyclops (Guardian of War) and a larger one in a building, I think it will need to be a team effort to take on those.

Friday, I returned to Rocktropia in readiness of tomorrow. It seems I have completely failed to make a log entry of this journey. Nothing happened so I guess I just forgot.

Saturday, Space Skilling Saturday followed by some L1119 The Things, a few Zombie Kongs and a King Kong, a lot of fun and with quite a large group but the loot was very poor.

Sunday, I return to Serving the Nation but this time the Nation does not serve me. Wolta and I team and take on a few Dragons (I cannot remember which ones, Morrison maybe) and some Motorhead Security, we manage to global on both before Wolta suffers a disconnect that is not recoverable, I receive an e-mail explaining she is experiencing a router problem.

Quite a large loss this week of 1086 PED which provided an 80% return. The Steropes was a loss of just 288 with a 91% return. I shall be returning there myself, partly because the loot is not terrible and partly because I would like to kill 333 with my Bronze Age equipment (not an easy task), after a recent VU it became possible to use anything in Ancient Greece and with the SkullCandy and the Karma Killer I feel that I have cheated somehow.

2 in a row, been a long while since I did that.

Log entry for the 22nd of March 2015.

Monday, my sojourn on Calypso is extended by a day and I spend some time completing a couple of daily hunting tasks, namely Traeskeron and Scaboreas, the 2nd of which was quite dull. I also placed a few items on auction, I really must have an auction week soon and try to free up some space in my Calypso storage, I should have done it this week but spent my time loafing and drinking, maybe it was the other way around.

Thursday, I tried my luck with the Proteron, though I gained a hit point bringing me to 175 it was a mistake, I lost over 200 PED to them with a remarkably low return of just over 22%, possibly my worst ever. In disgust I headed into the big black and set course for Rocktropia.

Friday, I “Serve the Nation” for an hour using both skill and loot pills. I did not do too badly but had no more time.

Saturday, I spend 2 separate hours in the pursuit of Werewolves at the end of which I am at 2844/5000 for “The history of Vampire Helena #4” mission and the Karma Killer has reached tier 5.8, it’s looking as though it will finish it’s current mission before I finish mine. Later it’s Space Skilling Saturday.

Sunday, an hour in the morning “Serving the Nation” this time with loot pill only. During this session I manage 2 small globals in a row, the last time I remember that happening was in the old days when there was still a statue atop one of the Twin Peaks and the Argonauts where in the rocky hills near to the shopping mall, good days. This was my only positive hunt of the week and then barely.

Later Wolta and Myself team against Motorhead Royalty and Motorhead Security, that was a good laugh especially when they re-spawn, surround and destroy us.

I managed to lose quite a lot this week, about 780 PED, the return was about 82%
