Catching up.

The BT issue has dominated my thoughts of late, no surprise really. I have realised that I’ve forgotten to mention my new attire. I think it was Monday or Tuesday immediately before the Saturday on which I went dark. Summer logged in and I collared her immediately, she was actually right next to me so it was not difficult. I had all the materials in store and had done for some time but the article I wanted texturing I had only recently acquired. It’s a Master coat, now textured in Longu, Longu and Copper. It took a while for Summer to manufacture all the required textures and apply them, she did her usual bang up job.

I like it but I’m not used to it yet and am still fiddling with applying a little paint to darken the copper, pity I cannot remember what I did with my existing clothes, it was a while ago.

I think I’ll have a try with virtual tycoon at least I’ll be able to check the auction, pity I won’t be able to talk with anyone though.

BT a new hope!

I have probably not mentioned it before but as well as the broadband issue I have been enduring there was also a billing issue. It seems my e-mail to the chairman had some effect as my issues are now being dealt with by  executive teams. The billing issue seems to be resolved although I am not holding my breath and I will not know until I receive my next bill in February.

The Internet issue continues, the best appointment offered so far is 0800 to 1300 on the 24th of January, there is a chance this may be brought forward, again I will not be holding my breath. I have a second weekend with no internet access looming, I have no idea how I will fill the time. Watching TV has rapidly become very dull and has only served to remind me why I don’t watch it! No doubt I will find something to do.

Hope to be back on the 24th however I have grown accustom to failure, BT prove me wrong.

BT fail (again)!

Well no engineer came and no engineer called, I can’t say I’m surprised by that BT seem to be dedicated to failure. Once again I, the customer, took the initiative and called them, they tested the line and surprise, surprise found a fault. I was offered an appointment on Monday, they are obviously under the impression that people can just take time of work with no notice. After rejecting this I was offered Sunday (tomorrow), I naturally agreed to this and rearranged my tomorrow.

An hour or so later they called back telling me they cannot do tomorrow and there is a problem with their booking system (why should that be any different to everything else in their organisation), the best they can do is next Saturday. I rejected this as unacceptable and swore profusely at the person calling.

It’s called BT Infinity because that’s how long it takes to get it. Three months so far, three appointments they have failed to keep, today rearranged on their whim and wasted, tomorrow rearranged due to their total incompetence and soon to be wasted. The result of all this is my existing broadband connection is removed and there is nothing to replace it and because of their record of 100% failure at keeping appointments no clue as to when it will be fixed.

Internet connection upgrade!

After about 3 months of trying BT finally got an engineer to visit and upgrade me to infinity. He put all the kit in but it will not connect, apparently there is a fault on the line and this needs to be tested and rectified by a different engineer. Unfortunately it is not possible to revert to my previous connection and I am posting this via a tethered mobile. At this time I do not know when I will be back in world.
